Why Element Church?

In the world God created, elements are the most basic yet tangible building blocks of the universe. The Bible teaches that the church, made of united followers of Christ, is the Body of Christ here on earth.

At Element Church, we are committed to being the tangible representation of the life and ministry of Jesus and being agents of reconciliation between the God of the Bible and the world. We are also committed to being simple: focusing on the basic foundations of our Christian faith and not getting distracted from the mission Jesus has given to us.

Why We Exist

MISSION:

We exist to glorify God through whole lives transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our purpose, as the people of God, is to glorify God and while many events can change a life, only God can tranform a life. Change makes someone different, transformation makes someone new. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection, its power to reconcile sinners back to God, and the hope of Jesus' return to bring God's plan of redemption to completion.

VISION:

SIMPLE. BIBLICAL. REAL.

We don't accomplish our Mission by what we do, but by who we are. Element Church will fulfill its mission, both corporately and as individuals, by being simple in our focus, biblical in our foundation, and real in our ministry.

Our Leadership Code

We will...

  • Always operate in our sweet spot. Just because we can do something, doesn't mean that we should do it. We will say "no" to many good things in order to say "yes" to a few great things.
  • Always strive to be the best church FOR our community and not the best church IN our community. We are fighting against the world for peoples' attention and affection, not against other churches for peoples' attendance.
  • Always be driven by our mission and never our marketing. Marketing assumes people aren't here because we haven't found the right niche; our mission assumes people aren't here because we haven't yet reached them with the gospel message.
  • Always celebrate the number of people in heaven over the number of people in the room. We are after building God's kingdom, not ours. We will give time, energy, people, leaders, and money at the expense of our local church to build God's global church.
  • Always celebrate transformed lives over changed behavior. Our passion isn't to change the way people talk, dress, or spend their weekends. We are passionate about seeing peoples' entire lives transformed through the gospel of Jesus Christ and will always use transformation over change as our measuring stick of success.
